Matthew 3: 10,11) - BAPTISM IN WATER IS FOR REPENTANCE. THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR ETERNAL LIFE.

And now the ax is laid to the root of the trees; the whole tree, which does not produce good fruit, is cut down and thrown into the fire.
And I baptize you with water unto repentance; but he that cometh after me is mightier than I; whose shoes I am not worthy to carry; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire.
(Matthew 3: 10,11)

Dear brothers, we are studying the word of God in the presence of the Creator of heaven and earth in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT.

In order to have knowledge, whatever the area, both in the natural field both in the spiritual field there must be a focus on study, and dedication so that the learning has a satisfactory use.

We are studying the specific matter of ETERNAL LIFE. Everything that involves our participation or that of someone, whoever it is in eternity, we are studying to understand the mystery of living forever, to unveil them to be able to pass to others. Who does not have this same opportunity to study daily.

Today specifically we are studying in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 3, in verse 10 and 11. Facts that occur in the lives of all who want to live forever, and also of those will not live forever.

John the Baptist begins by speaking in verse 10, saying that the ax is a cutting tool, used to cut wood.
It says here that the ax is laid at the root of the tree that does not produce good fruit.

It means that perhaps this same tree can produce bad fruit. Then this tree that does not produce good fruit, the ax is thrown into its roots. And the tree is cut down and thrown into the fire.

You see, he is speaking here of a quality of people that has the same characteristics of those who will live forever, but besides not producing good fruits, they produce bad fruits.

That is, they use their ability, their gifts, for destruction. Not to build.

But in verse 11. John the Baptist is saying that he was preparing people to live forever, but only baptized them with water. So that there would be repentance.

And he was preparing people for new knowledge.

"BUT THOSE WHO COME AFTER ME, ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN I, WHO SANDALS I AM NOT WORTHY TO TAKE (He meant that he was not worthy to carry the sandals of JESUS CHRIST)"

"HE WILL BE BAPTIZING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WITH FIRE"

Beloved brethren, see what a dubious situation, that is to say, two similar facts, but with different meanings.

JOHN BATISTA, BATIZAVA IN WATER, IN THE JORDAN RIVER. THIS BAPTISM WAS VALID FOR THE REPENTANCE OF SINS AND FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
JESUS CHRIST BAPTIZES WITH HOLY SPIRIT, AND WITH FIRE. WHY THE HOLY SPIRIT EXPRESSION? FOR BAPTISM WITH HOLY SPIRIT HE COMES AFTER BAPTISM WITH WATER. LOGICALLY AFTER REPENTANCE. AND OF THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. THAT BAPTISM WITH HOLY SPIRIT, HE BRINGS TO HIM BENEFITS SUCH AS: DIFFERENT SPIRITUAL GIFTS, EACH WITH THE SPIRITUAL GIFT THAT RECEIVES. IT WILL ACT INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITH THE FUNCTION OF THE DOM THAT RECEIVED, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
BAPTISM WITH FIRE, BAPTISM WITH FIRE, IT COMES WITH MEANING OF PURIFICATION, AS GOLD HAS TO PASS BY FIRE TO HAVE THE GREATER DEGREE OF POSSIBLE PURITY, SO THOSE WHO DESIRE TO LIVE ETERNALLY, WILL ALSO PASS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO LIVE ETERNALLY. SEE HOW IT LIKES COMPLEX THIS THEME THAT JOHN THE BAPTIST DOES. TODAY, LITTLE TELLS OF THESE TWO SITUATIONS OF BAPTISM, THERE ARE THOSE THAT FEAR THAT ONLY THE BAPTISM IN WATER, IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NECESSARY TO LIVE ETERNALLY. AND IT IS EFFECTIVE. BUT ALSO DOES NECESSARY TO RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO RECEIVE THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS, AND TO BE PURIFIED WITH THE CALL OF THE FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT IN THE TRUTH, NOTHING TO SEE IT WITH FIRE. WHAT BURNING.
To be baptized with HOLY SPIRIT and with FIRE, that it is the Lord Jesus Himself who performs this action, because the HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST.

It is necessary that we be willing to allow the HOLY SPIRIT to dwell within us. Therefore, the apostle Paul says that our body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Now, brethren, we understand the simplicity of this approach of John the Baptist, and fully understandable, for he who is baptized in the water and who allows the HOLY SPIRIT to dwell within himself receives the spiritual benefits.

As we have already said the SPIRITUAL GIFTS. And once the HOLY SPIRIT making abode within someone, this one receives the revelations of the HOLY SPIRIT, the teachings, the SPIRITUAL GIFTS, consequently, the preparation for ETERNITY.
