Grace, Love and Peace to each and everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Memory Verse
Ephesians 2:17-18
17 When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Welcome to Systematic Study on letter to Ephesians
Ephesians 2:19
So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,
The message of peace proclaimed by the Messiah has brought everyone near to God.
Now we have access to the Father by the Holy Spirit
So now because of the sacrifice of Jesus the gap between God and mankind has been removed. Now we can get closer to God like never before.
The Work of Jesus on the cross has brought three things into a believers life
1. We are no longer foreigners and strangers
2. We are fellow citizens with the saints
3. Members of God's household
1. We are no longer foreigners and strangers
Ephesians 2:12-13
At that time you were without the Messiah, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
Now no one can tell I am a foreigner or stranger because the blood of Jesus has brought us closer, every barrier and every hurdle and every difference has been removed.
2. We are fellow citizens with the saints
I want to highlight this point more clear we call Saint Peter, Saint Thomas
This verse gives us a clear picture that we are also fellow citizens with the saints.
We are not sinners, we also are fellow citizens with the saints.
When the word citizens comes we need to understand it is talking about a place or nation.
So now this verse implies that we are citizens with the saints in heaven.
We became citizens through the blood of the Messiah.
3. Members of God's household
Now the Blood of Jesus has cleansed us and made us as His household.
That means the worldly caste system and divisions of the world does not apply to the believers.
Yes we are living in the world but we don't follow the worldly pattern.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Believers be careful if you are still living in the worldly pattern talking about caste, colour creed you have not been transformed and not been renewed.
