This is truly a fascinating prophecy from Zechariah. Not only does it truly speak of the Messiah's first and second coming, it speaks in amazing detail about who the Messiah would be. He would be God, God's Son and He would be pierced! All three of those things add up to Jesus as clear as day.

What is more amazing is that those of the house of David will be given a spirit of prayer, while those who have rejected Him will mourn.
