Being people of love is a lifestyle. Our behavior, attitude, speech, and actions must exude love if we’re to look like our Savior—and not only when it’s convenient for us. We find these instructions written out quite explicitly in Ephesians 5:1-2. Walking in love looks a lot like living life with a group of people you care for; being consistent, caring, and compassionate. We bring food to our friends when a new baby is born, shower new brides with gifts, love each other's children, go to church with them, encourage them...give financial support when they're struggling, We hold each other up when times are tough. All those who have Christ living within them are indwelt by His love. We, therefore, have the capacity to love others as He does and to do it with excellence. May we always strive to live as Christ would have us, and to imitate Him in all things. After all, His love for mankind changed the world, and our love for one another is able to be the change we are so desperately in need of today.
