Sermon Summary (Mother's Day, ParkviewSedalia)

Hebrews 11 is often called the "Hall of Faith" chapter, because it lists several people from the pages of the Old Testament and their faith in action. One of the people that Hebrews 11 spends a lot of time on is Moses. But the writer begins with the generation before him to tell his story... he begins with Moses' parents. When we go back and read Exodus 1 and 2, which tells the story of Moses' childhood, we see the faith of his mother in action very clearly. Jochebed was a woman who displayed courage, trust and intentionality as she invested in the life of her son. She is a shining example for us of a mother who loves well.
