Do you know the story of Nehemiah? He was the cupbearer for the Persian King. He was also a Jewish man who had been part of the exiled Israelite nation. That’s exactly where he would have remained, had he not taken initiative. He responded to some terrible news from Jerusalem by praying and then acting, trusting that God was with him. Will we join God in His mission by taking initiative just like Nehemiah?
