Numbers 27: 18-23) - GOD NEEDS MEN TO LEAD HIS WORK.


And the LORD said unto Moses, Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thine hand upon him.
And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him thy orders in their presence.
And set your glory on him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey him.
And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall consult with him according to the judgment of Urim before the LORD; according to his word shall they go out, and according to his word shall they come in, he and all the children of Israel with him, and all the congregation.
And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; For he took Joshua and presented him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.
And he laid his hands on him, and commanded him, as the LORD spake by the hand of Moses. (Numbers 27: 18-23)

Dear brothers in Christ, it is with great joy that we are studying the word of God, together with you, in the presence of the Creator of Heaven and Earth, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The civilization of the earth began with the primitive people, and by multiplying the human race, there was a need for leaders to emerge, as the human race grew, there were demographic and geographical subdivisions, where there was a need to raise leaders who had attitudes capable of leading the led.

This need for leadership came from heaven, comes from God. From heaven there is also the heavenly hierarchy, where we have GOD FATHER, GOD SON, AND GOD HOLY SPIRIT. And then the angels, where today, the greatest angel in heaven, is the archangel Michael. This is what is recorded in the bible.

Since hierarchy comes from heaven, it is spiritual. And here on earth, it is a natural hierarchy that is established on many levels. Starting at the family level, and then by the current powers of the country. In the case of Brazil, the powers are: EXECUTIVE / LEGISLATIVE / JUDICIARY. It is the powers that rule the Brazilian nation.

In the Kingdom of God it is no different when God initiated the people of God. God began through Abraham who is called: THE FATHER OF GOD'S PEOPLE. Then came Isaac and Jacob; from Jacob was formed the twelve tribes of Israel, which became a nation, PEOPLE OF GOD.

Of this nation the first king was Saul. And many leaders were instituted in Israel. Being the greatest leader, Moses. And Moses passed over his leadership to Joshua the son of Nun.

In today's study, we are studying exactly what God has done regarding the hierarchy of God's People. In the book of numbers, chapter 27, verse 18 to 23. It tells how Moses passed his leadership of the people of GOD to Joshua.

In verse 18, it is told that it was the LORD, who asked Moses to raise up Joshua as his successor. In verse 19, God asks Moses to present Joshua before the priest Eleazar and all the pruning of God so that everyone would realize that the leadership of Moses before the people of God was being passed to Joshua. Consequently everyone should accept him as a new leader.

Joshua came to have authority before the priest Eleazar, to consult the will of God before the stone of Urim (The stone changed color when the people needed to make a decision). It was only the priest who consulted Urim, but Joshua asked the priest to consult the Urim Stone.

It was determined that Joshua would be able to direct the People of GOD. What they should do, get out, get in, walk, direction to walk. It was all a decision that Joshua had decision-making authority.

Verse 22, which Moses did as the LORD commanded, and presented Joshua to the priest Eleazar, and to all the congregation of the people of God.

In verse 23, relating that Moses laid his hands on Joshua, he passed the determinations and guidelines that Joshua should follow, as the Lord had commanded.

See dear brothers in Christ, how important is the hierarchy of the Kingdom of God. And from the people of God. And how it is necessary to respect the orders of the leaders of God, for God speaks through the leaders.

Even today, the Lord needs leaders and also needs Vice Leaders, and leadership must be constituted according to the determinations of the LORD our God. We must realize that we are leaders, but we are also led, there is always a bigger one. And the blessing comes from the greatest to the smallest. And so on. All leadership must be constituted as determined by the Lord our God.

Therefore, leaders have to be very close to God, in SPIRIT, to be able to know the true will of God. And also know how to pass it to the led. And all must fulfill the determinations that come from the LORD through their leaders.

We are calling you to accept LORD JESUS, and to be part of the community of GOD. And also be part of this heavenly hierarchy that comes from our GOD.
