The disciples get a little testy when they come across a man casting out unclean spirits in Jesus' name. They actually tell him to stop and then they go tell Jesus. Jesus is not happy with them. He replies, “Do not stop him.” No one is going to perform a miracle in my name and then turn around and say something bad about me. If someone is for us then they will not against us. Jesus says, "truly I tell you, if anyone gives you just a simple cup of water in my name, they will not lose their reward." Jesus wants us to show His love by the way we live our lives. Even giving someone a simple glass of water can be a reflection of His love in us. There are going to be times when things get in the way of us loving Jesus, when we sin or are thinking about sinning. Sometimes selfishness, pride, disobedience, being unkind, maybe even anger; all of these things put a barrier or a wall between us and Jesus. They separate us from His love. If there is a wall between us and Jesus then how will we see him? How will we get to be in His Kingdom with him forever? Jesus doesn’t want this wall there. So how are we going to break down this barrier? The Bible says that we have to have faith in Jesus and
Romans 10:9 says "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Jesus made it so simple that even the little children could pray to him and know and his love.
