The Overcomer has the greatest inheritance that one could receive. They inherit God. And being the elect of God they will be given the right to minister unto the LORD Himself face to face. Wow. If that doesn't make you want to overcome nothing will.
Intro:
Many of you have come across these scriptures like these concerning the Levites and their inheritance:
...Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. --Numbers 18:20
Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance... -Deuteronomy 18:2
What does this mean? What does it mean to have the LORD as your inheritance?
We'll talk about that but first it's important to understand that this specific "law of inheritance" has now passed on from the Levitical Priesthood, who failed in their duties under the old covenant, to those today who are called upon to minister and to teach God's Word after the order of Melchezedek. After this present age it will be passed onto the overcomers.
It will be the OVERCOMERS who will inherit God. They will become ministers of fire. They will tend to the very altar of God. But they must earn this right. It won't be given to them simply by birth as it was to the Levites.
Let's turn to Revelation 20:4-6
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
My friends, there is no greater reward than to inherit God Himself.
Let's start studying Deuteronomy 18...
