When Jesus says, "immediately after the tribulation of those days," He is not referring to the church age. We argue that this refers to Daniel's 70th week. The coming signs happen at the very end of the 7 year tribulation. The OT references this in Joel 3. The Kidron Valley is the likely place of this event as the nations surround Jerusalem. Joel 3:14 mentions the "valley of decision." The reference is to God as the Judge making His decision about the nations who have mistreated and hated Israel. We mention how this verse has been misused to mean that sinners make a decision about God, rather than God being the one making the judgment. We also discuss cataclysmic events that happen in history that people interpret to show God judging certain places or people. This idea was warned against by Jesus. We warn our listeners against trying to discern God's moral will through events in history. During this age, God's wrath is being "stored up" and will be poured out at the end of the age. We discuss and explain the mention of the nations "mourning" in Matthew 24:30. This is not a mourning unto repentance but the response of those being judged.
