On Sunday, 13th September 2020, Pastor Craig Baxter continues the sermon series on Acts with 'Preparing to be Witnesses' based in Acts 1:12-26.

Jesus gave the disciples strict orders “not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4), the Holy Spirit. Obediently the disciples wait for the promise of the Father that will empower them to be Christ’s witnesses. But in their waiting, we find preparation. In this message we will discover three marks of a witnessing church in waiting:

1. Prayerfully united before God (vv. 12-14)
2. They are found unwaveringly confident in God (vv. 15-20)
3. They are found actively dependent on God (vv. 21-26)
