The Holy One of Israel - Qedosh Yisra’el - depending on what translation you read, the amount of times this name for God occurs will vary, but in the NKJV, it is used 38xs (29xs by Isaiah). However, namesforgod.net cites this Hebrew word is used in the Hebrew Bible about 45xs. Either way, this name for God is mostly in the mouth of Isaiah. And there is a reason for this: besides John, in Revelation chapter 4, no one but Isaiah has had a vision where God is cried out to as Holy, Holy, Holy.

1 In the year that King Uzziah died…

Uzziah will keep you from seeing the Holy One of Israel

Uzziah represented Religion (2 Chronicles 26:1-5)
Who was King Uzziah?
- He was made king at 16 years old (2 Chronicles 26:3)
- He reigned 52 years in Jerusalem (2 Chronicles 26:3
- He did right in the sight of the Lord
- Rather he was a Christian or not, we cannot be sure, but we know that he externally did what was right, like his father (2 Chronicles 25:1-2)
- He sought God to his prosperity (2 Chronicles 26:4)
- Under the Old Covenant, this meant physical prosperity (Dueteronomy 28:1-14)
- We are no longer under the Old Covenant (Hebrews 8:7-13)
- Nevertheless, seeking the Lord always leads to spiritual prosperity (Psalm 1:1-6)

Uzziah represented Prosperity, Protection, and Security (2 Chronicles 26:6-15)

Uzziah represented Failure (2 Chronicles 26:16-23)

- Whatever you are looking to will fail, but there is One King, the Holy One of Israel, who will never fail (Hebrews 1:8-12)
- And how do we know that He is the Holy One of Israel that Isaiah sees? (John 12:37-41)
