This section of Proverbs goes over basic parental guidance with a two-parent system. Both a child's mother and father are important in developing and teaching the child, and both are talked about here in this passage. After talking about parental teachings, Proverbs then switches to the warnings of two kinds of sexual immorality: prostitution and adultery.
