This is my desperate plea to Dad every time I catch myself immersed and consumed in everything but Him; when I am trapped in the sickening whirlpool of worldly pleasures and distractions that offer temporary pleasure, but leave an ever deepening hunger and thirst.

Truly by "beholding we become changed."

So if you find yourself ever looking at the things of this world, may you join me in earnestly pleading to Him to redirect our eyes (or rather, ALL of our senses and thoughts) to Him alone.

May you "turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face." Then, you will find that "the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." His words, law, and character will shine in their matchless beauty.
