Psalm 37:4 is one of my favorite verses. let’s take a deeper look at the first seven verses of the chapter.
In verse 2 it tells us to know the fate of the evil doers.
In verse 3 it tells us to trust the Lord, to do good, and to be-friend faithfulness.
In verse 4 it tells us to delight ourself in the Lord.
In verse 5 it tells us to commit our way to the Lord.
In verse 7 it tells us to rest and wait patiently for the Lord.

True delight in God causes us to take our sites off of what we want so that we can hold his desires in our heart.
