Psalm 89:4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

"The seed" in view here is the seed of David (see verse 3 and Gal 3:16). It points forward to Christ. The Jews knew that the Christ would come from the line of David. But they missed something quite important that we ought not miss. What they missed, is illustrated in this question asked by Jesus:

Matthew 22:42-45 NKJV saying, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?" They said to Him, "The Son of David." [43] He said to them, "How then does David *in the Spirit* call Him 'Lord,' saying: [44] 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool"'? [45] *If David then calls Him 'Lord,' how is He his Son*?"

The morning Psalm speaks on the seed of David... the Messiah... and his throne being established forever. This was not at all a reference to any earthly kingdom as the Jews supposed and looked for, as they only saw flesh (Son of David):

Luke 17:20-21 NKJV Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; [21] nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."

The answer of Jesus pointed to Spirit (Lord of David) and therefore, those who waited/looked for the Kingdom of God, which is not of this world, received what they waited for in the coming of Christ. If you have received Christ, then you *have been* translated into the kingdom (Col 1:13) the moment he *came* into your life. In every generation, as the psalmist said, his throne is established, *in* those who have received him. Selah!
