Psalm 89:46 How long, Lord ? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

The psalmist asked if God will hide forever because God was hidden from man. Him hiding from man was/is not cause he doesn't wish to reveal himself. He hid from us cause of sin:

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Thankfully, God made a way, his blood shed on the cross made the following possible:

Romans 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose *iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.*

Therefore, the question by the psalmist of how long God will hide *AND* how long his wrath will burn, is answered in the cross of Christ. Until we come to him through the blood of the cross, which has covered our sin and forgiven our iniquities, he remains hidden and wrath abides upon us.

John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

If we desire to see him, that is: *to see life*, the blood of the cross has to be on us as it allows for us to presented before him blameless.
