Psalm 89:49 Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
This question, asked by the Psalmist, is the final in a series of questions he asked in the proceeding verses: (See the past three messages).
This climatic question incorporates all that went before. Because God swore to David that he would establish his seed and build up his throne to all generations (Verse 4). This promise was fulfilled in Christ. And only in the establishment of his throne does the following come to past:
Psalm 16:10-11 *For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell*; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. [11] *Thou wilt shew me the path of life*: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Also see Acts 2:29-31)
For only when we are *IN* Jesus do we walk in the above. For in him, we have been redeemed from the grave and have been show the path to life and therefore...we are filled with Joy. Thats the lovingkindness, truth...that God swore to David. And we all are/can be recipients when we place our Faith, in the seed of David i.e. Jesus The Christ. ????????♂️ Selah!
