law on shaving
I present 2 strong cases against leviticus 19:27 & 28 being two laws, sentences, and or ideas but rather it being one law/sentence divided into two by a poor modern english translation and verse/numbering system in the KJV Bible. Proof is in textual criticism and comparison of leviticus 21:5 & 1-6 and leviticus 19:27-28 and also the analysis of Biblical and paleo Hebrew. Which leads us to the conclusion that shaving is prohibited (unlawful) in cases of mourning of death but is permitted (lawful) for grooming, style, or anything other than morning a death or worship a false God.
In the next video we will be looking at scriptural comparison of leviticus 19:27-28 and cultures amongst the region of Canaan & Egypt provided by scriptures and cultural literature. For now I leave you with this:
Leviticus 19:27-28
27Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
28Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Jeremiah 16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
7Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead;
