God is drawn to people who are vulnerable and in pain—the widow, the orphan, the stranger. That’s why the writer of Hebrews tells us to remember those who are mistreated as if we ourselves were suffering. Every day we should have our antenna up: is someone mistreated, down, discouraged? Oh, Lord, give us hearts to help them.
