In this sermon, we consider Isaiah 64:1-7. At this point, Isaiah the prophet has been preaching for some 60 years (740-680 BC). He has outlasted 4 kings, and predicted the advances of both Assyria and Babylon. The work of the prophet is exhausting and frustrating. Here we consider the future judgment, a reflection on redemption history past, and our present gospel reality.
