Welcome to Reliance High School, physical-distancing edition! We're finishing up the book of Job and seeing what God’s blessing of restoration to Job can teach us about our lives. In these verses, we get a glimpse at the ultimate spoiler – Jesus wins and all things are made new. Do you know how your story ends?
Tonight at 7pm, we'll be gathering online via Zoom for our Midweek hangs, worship, and small group time. Here's the link: https://zoom.us/j/8896412851?pwd=eHJXUmtDVS9VWmhGVVpKL1RhNmxQQT09

Here are the Small Group Questions that we'll be discussing:
1. Notice the act of animal sacrifice in vv. 8-9 and subsequent forgiveness that is shown to Job’s friends. Any parallels come to mind in the New Testament? (check out Luke 23:33-34)

2. What has been your reaction to the ending of Job? Cynicism? Skepticism? Hope? Joy?

3. How does seeing the blessing of God’s love to undeserving people affect how you view suffering/blessing?

4. Knowing how our “story” ends should affect how we live in the present. Why is this important? Couldn’t we just do nothing and wait until Jesus comes back?

5. Thinking back over our study through Job, In your own words, what are some key lessons from the book of Job that you can apply to your life right now?
