In this passage we find Paul’s key teaching about how Christ’s righteousness can be given to those who have faith. Just as all humankind are subject to sin and death because of what Adam did, so in Christ those who have faith receive the gift of righteousness and life. The key idea in this passage is imputation – the teaching that the action of the one, has an impact for the many.
