REVELATION CHAPTER 4:
Verse 1… What did John hear? Who was God asking to come up there? Personal pronouns: I looked, I heard, talking with ME, I will show YOU! God was obviously talking with John alone.
Psalm 139:1-12…
Verse 2… Notice John was immediately in the Spirit, and he had eyes to see. He saw what the prophet of God Isaiah saw described.
Isaiah 6:1-4…
Verse 3… John saw God on the throne.
Ezekiel 1:26-28…
Verse 4… The 24 elders – possibly the twelve Apostles and the twelve heads of the tribes of Israel.
1st Corinthians 8:1-2…
Verse 5… This is speaking of the seven fold Spirit of God.
Ephesians 2:18 … Ephesians 4:3-4… Isaiah 11:2 … Revelation 1:4…
Zechariah 3:8-9…
In this case, the seven Lamps of Fire represent each attribute of the Holy Spirit (7 in total).
Verses 6-8… John saw the throne room floor as it appeared as a sea of glass like crystal.
Revelation 15:1-2…
John also saw four beasts full of eyes in front and in back.
Ezekiel 1:4-18…
Verse 9… Who do the beasts give glory to?
Isaiah 42:8 … 1 Corinthians 1:31 … 1 Corinthians 10:31…
Verse 10… The 24 elders cast their crowns before the throne. Why?
Revelation 4:4… (submission to Christ)… Philippians 2:9-11…
Verse 11… God has created all things for His pleasure.
Genesis 1:1… Genesis 1:31… Isaiah 48:11… John 1:1-3...
Summary of Revelation Chapter 4: This chapter reveals the Glory of God and the Power of God in Heaven’s setting. Especially highlighted are the activities in Heaven, which is worship, praise, and adoration of the Lord and Him alone! Jesus (God) is the center of attention in heaven. How much more should He also be at the center of attraction in our lives and in our gatherings!
