WORDS TO KNOW AND EXPLAIN

Priest — a church official who speaks to others on behalf of God
Forerunner — a person who goes before or announces the coming of another
John — means “to be gracious,” or “Jehovah is gracious.”

EXPLAINING THE MEMORY VERSE
The angel told Zacharias, “Don’t be afraid, and that his prayers have been answered by God. He and his wife Elizabeth were going to have a baby boy, and they must name him John. He will be a joy and delight to them, and many people will celebrate his birth.”
CONCLUSION
Some things others say may sound too good to be true, but God always keeps His promises. Nothing is too hard for God!
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, thank You for being patient with us when we doubt You! Replace our doubt with faith as we wait for Your plan to happen on Your schedule. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
