OUR SYMBOL

Our symbol is called the Chi Rho. The “X” (chi) and “P” (rho) in our symbol are the first two Greek letters in the name Christ. Together they form one of the earliest symbols for Christ and his followers. The Chi Rho can be found in the catacombs in Rome where Christians worshiped during times of severe persecution.

We’ve chosen this symbol as our own because we value the inseparable link we have with the historic church through the gospel of grace that was “once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). At Christ Church, we fly one flag—Christ crucified. He's the one we worship. He's the one we preach. He's the one we follow.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19–20) in the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37–40).  This mission is unashamedly unoriginal. That’s because it’s not ours to come up with. Jesus laid out the mission for his church some 2,000 years ago—and we’re sticking to it.
