In the Parable of the tares we see the enemy of the sower came and sowed tares while men slept. Matthew 13:24-26 The Kingdom of heaven is like to a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought fort fruit, then appeared the tares also. These Scriptures give us an understand of the process of the harvest. Jesus relates his death to the corn of wheat falling to the ground as necessary in order to bring forth the harvest. Mark 4:26-29 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. For the earth brings the forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he put teeth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
When Jesus rose from the dead he is the first-born of creation. Before Christ all the Old Testament saints waited for the resurrection of the first blade. The first blade came forth from the corn of wheat that died. Christ brought like back to all mankind. John 12:23-24 And Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.
In the first Adam all men died but in Christ the second Adam all are made alive. Outside of Christ there is no life. The tares were planted by the enemy of God and until the time of the harvest the tares and wheat will grow together.
God will send his angels in the time of the harvest to gather together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into his barn. Jesus the resurrection is life to all that are in him. There is not life or fruitfulness outside of Christ.
