Thank you for joining us at the Redeemer's Place for tonight’s Bible study on John chapter 19:17-30 which examines the crucifixion of Jesus and the amazing way in which intricate details of prophesy from the Old Testament are fulfilled. As we go through the study, please note how God orchestrated all of these events to fulfill his Word and to secure our salvation. There is so much more going on in this event than just the act of the crucifixion. We'll look at Pilate's pronouncement, and we'll study the women who were present at the crucifixion, and Jesus' attitude toward them. We'll see this account from John's perspective, which shows us the wonder and majesty of this event. This should give us great hope, for God is true to His Word and He is true to us!


As we look forward to the rest of the week, please know that we will be doing our Good Friday and our Easter services online. Please be aware that for our Good Friday service, we will be doing communion online. Let me encourage you to prepare for that in your home prior to listening to the service. You’ll need to get your cups, your bread, and your drink ready before the service begins. In preparing for this special time, I also suggest that you read the following passages from the Bible:
