It should be clear the scoffers at Corinth were not denying resurrection per se, or else, they would have been denying the resurrection of Christ and the resurrection of Christians-- but, they did not do that! When we refresh our memory that the resurrection that Paul was discussing was to be the fulfillment of God's Old Covenant promises, made to Old Covenant Israel, it opens our minds to understand what-- and who- was being denied!
