"Jesus called them one by one: Peter, Andrew, James, and John. Next came Philip, Thomas, too, Matthew, and Bartholomew. James the one they called the less, Simon, also Thaddeus. The twelfth apostle Judas made; Jesus was by him betrayed. Yes, Jesus called them! Yes, Jesus called them! Yes, Jesus called them! And they all followed Him." That simple song describes the story of how Jesus specifically called twelve of His disciples whom He would ultimately call apostles. He called them to be deliverers of the most important message in history of the world - a message to the lost and dying people of the world. He called them to preach the gospel, and Jesus calls us to to preach that same gospel today. Matthew 10:1-15 to the Sebring Parkway church of Christ entitled, "The Sending of the Twelve."
