Many people are unaware that there are multiple different types of death mentioned in the Bible. Many are also unaware that Adam's sin didn't force spiritual death upon mankind, but rather forced physical death upon mankind. The Bible is very clear that spiritual death happens to each one of us when we sin. Many passages have been used to support the doctrine of original sin because of a lack of understanding regarding the different types of death. When we go back to the book of Genesis and learn that Adam only forced physical death upon us when he sinned, and understand that when we are born, we are innocent before God, only then can we see that many passages of Scripture are referring to spiritual death that takes place when we sin. Ezekiel 18 tells us that the soul that sins will die. In this video we will see how this is referring to spiritual death and how the death spoken of in Romans 5 is also referring to spiritual death.
