What happened following the 30 minutes of silence? Pastor Conway explains the remaining verses in chapter 8 where seven angels standing before God are given trumpets. They await to sound them. As the first four trumpets are sounded, God's judgment upon the world follows: burning storm, bloody sea, the burning star and blacken sky.
