Jesus Christ is superior to the angels in Name (Hebrews 1:4-5)

Angels literally means ‘messenger’ that’s why it can be used of the pastors of the churches (Revelation 1:20, 2:1, 8, 12, 18, 3:1, 7, 14) but Jesus Christ isn’t simply God’s messenger, Jesus Christ is God’s Son

Jesus Christ, He is God’s King-Son to inherit the nations, though they rage against Him (Psalm 2:1-8)

As God’s King-Son, inheritor of the nations, Jesus Christ will destroy all nations who do not fearfully and joyfully serve God by an affectionate faith in His Son while the angels are nothing but messengers (vs9-12)

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the promised Seed of David, whose throne would be established forever (2 Samuel 7:12-16)

This promise specifically speaks of Solomon, but ultimately speaks of Jesus Christ, and David understood this (Psalm 16:9-11)

This is confirmed by Peter and Paul (Acts 2:25-33, 13:35-39)

*So we see that while the angels are only divine messengers, Jesus Christ is God’s King-Son, the promised seed of David (Hebrews 1:4-5)
