These souls will suffer to be made white and purified during the Tribulation period. They are some of the souls mentioned in Daniel 12:9-11., They are also mentioned in Ezekiel 44: 9-14, as the Levites who have gone far away from God, like the prodigal son.
The Levites were a gift to Aaron priesthood. They were to replace the firstborn. And they were not to be counted. Nor were they to have an inheritance with the other tribes.

The ten northern tribes, carried the name of Israel, when the twelve tribes of Israel was divided. The northern tribes were scattered all over the world and mingled among the Gentles. They are now called Ephram in the Scriptures . Ephram will pass under the Rod of the Lord.
