Questions for Reflection and Discussion:
1. John wants to establish that Jesus is real to the reader, and wants to be in real relationship with each person. When did Jesus become real to you, and how did that relationship with Him start?
2. John says that Jesus is eternal (from the beginning), and does so in his other writings. Where else in the Bible do we see the eternity of Jesus? *Discuss where you can find these other passages with those around you.*
3. John says that our knowing Jesus matters for our fellowship with one another. Does fellowship (real and intentional fellowship) matter to you and your walk with the Lord? Why or why not?
4. How have you experienced joy in your life as a result of following Jesus?
This week, re-read 1st John 1:1-4 and pray through the truths you find while reading. Find someone to discuss these chapters with, and share the word with someone you don't know as well.
