Introduction: (What?)
Do you recall your first time on a Roller Coaster? Remember that excruciatingly slow ascent to the top of the first segment? You thought you would never get there. Then you crossed the crest and suddenly there was the plunge straight down. In a way that is what Jesus experienced. From about elementary age to age 30 Jesus was making that slow ascent. The crest was his baptism by his cousin John in the Jordan River. Then the ride became wild IMMEDIATELY! (one of Mark’s favorite words)
