When you're trying to earn your way to get closer to God... you're wasting your time! You don't need to! Jesus already paid the price for you! It would be silly to try and work for God's love, trying to earn it. There's no way you could work hard enough to try and match the sacrifice of God's son, Jesus. You just get to enjoy the blessing. God loved you that much.... He sent His only son to pay the price for you!
