This week in our Sunday lesson we learned how Hezekiah, king of Judah, although a devout and godly man was not exempt from hard times.
After leading Judah back to God by destroying idol temples and cleansing God‘s temple, he learned that the Assyrian army was coming to invade Judah.
He prepared by disabling the water holes outside the city, fortifying walls, and building new watch towers. He made more weapons, and shields, then encouraged his commanders to be brave, strong and not fear.
Finally, he and the prophet Isaiah prayed and God sent an angel to defeat their enemy.
