1. Our society has become hyper-sexualized. Why is this such a big deal? What is at the center of this drive or this longing?
2. Read Matthew 5:27-28 What does Jesus' explanation of this commandment say to us? How do we apply what He is saying to our daily life?
3. How do we justify ourselves in this area rather than humbling ourselves before God?
4. The marriage illustration is used throughout scripture. Look up and respond to some of these following verses:
- Jeremiah 3:8-10
- Hosea 1:2-3, 3:1-4
- Romans 13:9
- Revelation 21:2
5. [Please read Ephesians 5:29-32] What does the illustration of Christ as the bridegroom of the church mean for us? How can you personalize that?
6. [Please read Ephesians 5:25-27] What do these verses say about what Jesus has done for the church? Since the church is made up of individual people, what has Jesus done for you?
7. What is your response to that kind of love?
8. 1 Corinthians 6:18-19 is another text that addresses this topic. What do you notice as contrasts between verse 18 and 19?
9. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 describe the dramatic change that takes place in a person who is in Christ. How has He changed you and how is He continuing to change you?
