This past Sunday, Pastor Louie was back with a message about the return that comes with kingdom investment. When we sow into the Kingdom of heaven, we invest in an initiative that reaps unquantifiable return. As we were able to bless numerous organizations through Above + Beyond, He reminds us that our gifts are now launched into the atmosphere and used for kingdom purposes.

At Passion City Church, we believe that because God has displayed the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus, our response to that in worship must be extravagant. It is our privilege, and our created purpose, to reflect God’s Glory to Him through our praise, our sacrifice, and our song.

Discussion Questions //
1. Pastor Louie talked about MECO, a term astronauts use. What was the idea behind this analogy?
2. In Matthew 16:24-27 Jesus talks about the danger of “gaining the world.” What does it look like in our day and age to “gain the world”? Is it wrong to “gain the world”? Why or why not?
3. Pastor Louie pointed out the biblical reality; that when we “release,” miracles, deliverance, provision, and salvation happens. To what extent are these things guaranteed in this life, when we “release”? To what extent are they going to be rewarded in heaven? Talk about this answer with humility, because there is a great deal of mystery in thinking about God’s sovereignty.
4. What should be our expectation when we give from the resources God has entrusted to us?
5. What should be our response when we give but do not get?
6. What was your reaction to seeing the videos of these organizations receiving your gifts? Explain what you felt, desired, were encouraged by, and imagined.
7. Pastor Louie shared the example of Jochebed. What caught your attention or was new about this story? For instance, had you ever thought much about Jochebed?
8. One of the calls Pastor Louie gave to our House was to consider further involvement in the organizations we support (Operation Mobilization, Friends of Refugess, etc.). Have any of you ever served with any of these organizations or a similar organization? Share your experience!
9. Pastor Louie read Jesus’ words; that you should “store up for yourselves treasures in heaven (Matt. 5:16).” What do you think heavenly treasure consists of?
