Following the death of Gideon, Abimelech, Gideon's son through one of his concubines, Abimelech, wanted to be king. The problem was that Gideon had told the people that he didn't want this, for the Lord was to rule over them. Abimelech wanted it anyway, and so conspired to make it so. What did his conspiracy involve and how did he accomplish it? In Lesson 27 of our study of Judges we learn the answer to this question.
