When Your World Crumbles (Ezekiel 1:1 -- 7:27)
To whom can I turn during times of crisis?
1) Dealing with Life Interrupted (Ezek. 1:1-3)
a. Interruptions -- loss of property, family, job, and/or health (thorns in the flesh).
b. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ~ II Cor. 12:9 (Remember G.I.N.Y.)
2) Seeing God's Awesome Glory (Ezek. 1:28)
a. We when experience crises, generally, we do not need a new perspective on our challenges, but a fresh perspective on God's presence.
b. God's Word, worship, prayer, and fellowship with other believers all serve as reminders of God's glory His presence in our lives. Our response...
3) Empowered for Mission Improbable (Ezek. 2:1-5)
a. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: ~ II Peter 1:19
b. We find strength to minister to others or to share our faith through the continual presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
4) Making Sense of Disaster (Ezek. 6:7-10)
a. vs. 10 -- "know that I am the Lord" -- repentance, restoration, and deeper intimacy with your Lord and Savior. Result is obedience:
