Exodus 2: 14-22
Jeremiah 29:12-14
If you were to buy a new MacBook from the Apple store, the sales person will definitely ask if you'd also like to purchase a warranty. Isn't it ironic that you're buying an item that is nearly assured to break? And so, in the case of a malfunction, you would use that warranty to bring it back to the manufacturer to get the laptop fixed.
In the same way, we as humans are bound to fail. We hate to admit it and we will do everything to avoid it, but all of us have dealt with failure or will fail in the future. Metropolitan living tells us to hide our failures in shame but the gospel makes it clear that our failures are there for us to turn to God, our Manufacturer, so that He can fix us, make us whole, and most importantly, love us.
This week, Pastor Sam asks, "Where is Jesus in our Failures?" Tune in to find out.
