Sermon Passage: Exodus 2: 5-15

Everyone wants to be the hero of their own journey. We all want to be the captain of our ship, be in control, and take credit for all of our own successes and accomplishments. But at the end of the day, this is merely an elusive illusion.
A great picture of this illusion of being the hero is LeBron James. Carrying the weight of the spectating world on his shoulders, he was expected to measure up to a supernatural standard of greatness. After all, he was only called "The Chosen One".
It quickly became apparent that the immense pressure was too much to handle as we see that he is currently hated by nearly every sports fan. So then, where is Jesus in this elusive illusion of being the Hero of our own Journey? Tune in to find out!
