There are many supposed contradictions that skeptics like to focus on to try and discredit the Bible. On of them focuses on the genealogy of Jesus as given to us by Luke. If you compare Matthew's and Luke's account of Jesus' family tree, you'll notice that although Abraham and David are both there (which are key to God's promises), that Luke's account of Jesus' genealogy follows after a different son than David (i.e. not Solomon). Is this a contradiction or is there another plausible explanation? In Lesson 18 of our study of Luke we learn the answer to this question.
