Does the rapture happen at the end of the tribulation period do you find the rapture at the end of Matthew 24 in verses 30 and 31 today on hot topics

hi this is robert furrow and welcome to hot topics if you're new here consider liking subscribing and sharing and ringing the bell so you can get all of our new content the comment section is open below we would love to hear from you today we want to take a look at matthew 24 verses 30 and 31 and consider them in relation to the coming of christ and the rapture of the church often times in our pre-tribulation rapture videos we'll get people who will come on and say things like the raptures found in matthew 24 30 and then they're gone or the word rapture isn't in the bible and sometimes i know that they haven't watched the video because we covered the very thing they're talking about in the video but i thought it would be good for us to make a hot topic on just this chapter and talk about why i believe that that's not the rapture of course when we talk about the rapture of the church pre post and mid even all millennialism or our post millennialism all of these things are secondary issues we're all brothers and sisters in christ if we've received him as our savior if we believe that he rose from the dead he was born of a virgin if we've committed our lives to christ and are sincerely following him but i think that these points are important for us as well in the way that we live and the way that we approach scripture let me start by reading you the passage out of matthew this is matthew 24 verses 30 and 31 verse 30 is about his return it says then the sign of the son of man will appear in the heavens and then all of the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory that has daniel 7 written all over it if you want to do some extra study and then there's verse 31 and he will send his angels with the great sound of a trumpet and they will gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to another now when you compare this passage to the quintessential rapture passage out of first thessalonians chapter 4 verses 13 and on you see that there are similarities there are also differences but there are similarities and i see why people say well there's a gathering in both of them there's a trumpet in both of them so it must be the rapture of the church by the way most christians believe that there will be a rapture it's just a short time period that they argue about pre-tribulation mid or post a seven year period or so but it does make a difference how we approach scripture and even how we look at prophecy now let me read you the passage out of first thessalonians chapter four again this is a rapture passage most christians believe in a rapture for those who don't they allegorize this but most christians believe that this is literally talking about a time when christ himself is going to descend and receive us to himself listen to what this says it's 1 thessalonians 4 verses 13 through 18. but i do not want you to be ignorant brethren concerning those who have fallen asleep by that he means death lest you sorrow as others who have no hope for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus meaning he's going to bring their spirits with him that they have been with him since he died to be absent from this body paul said is to be present with Jesus and then in verse 15
