Why must I be saved?

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)

God loves you & demonstrated his love for you on the cross. 

"For God so loveth the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

We cannot earn salvation by works.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Salvation comes from believing & confessing in the Lord Jesus Christ by faith. 

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
