WORD OF THE WEEK

This woman was in the middle of a horrible famine in the land. People were dying, and she and her son had a handful of grain left. They were preparing to die, when a man of God came calling.

When The Lord sends a man of God, you would think he would show up and say, “I have more seed for you. I have more meal for you. Don’t worry. God is here. I’m going to provide for you.”

But this man didn’t do that. He came and said to the woman, “Go make me a cake out of your handful first. Then after that, you and your son will eat for many, many days.”

What was taking place here? Supernatural increase!

Now, how supernatural increase works is simply: God does not add more to you, until you add more to what God has.

You see, God already has a total success package for you, and He wants you to take the portion you already have – even if it may only be a handful.

You may not have enough money to do what you want to do, or go where you want to go, or buy what you want to buy, but if you take some of that money and hold back on what you want temporarily, and show God that money doesn’t have a hold on you, God will see that you can be trusted.

Show the Lord you can be trusted with what you have – to give whenever God wants you to give, whether it’s to the church, to a missionary, to a cause in the community, or to a national cause.

There are so many things today that are worthy of your seed!

And he said to the woman, “I am not giving you more seed, but I am going to bring to you really rich soil.” He didn’t send the woman seed; He sent her soil for her to plant the seed she already had.

You already have the seed. God is about to send you soil, or let you know that the soil you are in is so rich!

Like I said, it could be your church soil, or a national cause soil. God will speak to you! He will show you where that soil is, but He wants you to take what you already have and begin to plant it in that soil you may not recognize.

Why? Because you are not looking for soil. You’re looking for more seed; you’re looking for more increase; you’re looking for more money – and God has it for you, but not in that way.

God is saying to you…
Take what you have, plant what you have, in the soil that I am sending, and I will give you what I gave Elijah and that widow woman – SUPERNATURAL INCREASE!
