"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple." (Isaiah 6:1)

Where did Isaiah see the Lord? “High and lifted up.” When we can put God in His proper place, things in our life begin to work out better.

It can be a task. We’re used to going to church, paying the bills, putting gas in the car, and taking care of the kids. We pray and seek the Lord, but God doesn’t want to just be sought. God wants to be placed. He wants to be placed in our lives to where He is consuming our thoughts.

When the Lord is lifted up it’s more than a song, more than words. When He is really lifted up in your life, He has the right to step in to all of your affairs and decisions. He can step in to your dietary decisions, your relationship decisions, your money decisions, how you spend your time or how you serve Him in your work place. When God is truly high and lifted up He is actually dictating and downloading to you on an ongoing basis!

When you put God in His place, everything begins to take on a different connotation. It’s about more than saying you love the Lord, and more than going to church and singing songs to Him - it’s about placing Him high in your life, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and allowing Him to speak to you. Walking with the Lord isn’t only about talking to Him. It’s also about paying attention and letting the Lord speak to you.

God wants to order your steps, establish your thoughts, and He wants you to have His desires!
