"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

How do you stay at peace in a crazy world? How do you not worry? How do you keep from getting stressed out full-time? Is it possible to be stress free and worry free? This verse unlocks the treasure of that revelation.

Pray about everything.

What does Paul say here? When you pray, when you get in to intense prayer and begin to supplicate, when you thank the Lord for things ahead of time, and you vent to Him letting all your requests be made known, then the peace of God comes. Peace comes after you pray about something. It doesn’t come after making a decision, or jumping into something, or asking God to clean up your mistakes, but take a step back and pray about every situation - your situation with money, our situation with your children, your situation with the job.

Make a decision to take things to prayer. When you begin to release prayer and release through the words that God gives you to speak to Him, there is a reciprocation that comes back into you that is unexplainable.

It may not make any sense. You’re speaking to an invisible God who you believe is there, and you’re transferring all the responsibility to Him. Then God somehow takes it and says, “I heard you. Got it covered.” And He anchors you with an unexplainable peace until the answer comes. Everything you’ve prayed to Him about, He’s working on it right now!

Take time this week and pray about the things you’re worried about. If you don’t think you’re worried, pray about the things that occupy your mind. You may be trying to figure it out or reason it out but that’s where the breakdown comes. Pray about it. Let God take care of it and I promise it will work out a lot better for you!
